The St. John’s
Global Compact for Eye Health

Sign the Global Compact and be part of the 1 Billion Pledge

The St John’s Global Compact for Eye Health, led by the government of Antigua and Barbuda, with technical support from WHO and IAPB, is the first multi-stakeholder agreement to end avoidable vision loss.

The Compact unites governments, the private sector, civil society and international organisations behind a shared commitment to ensure everyone, everywhere, can access quality eye care in the future. It establishes a shared vision and priorities for action, investment, and accountability to accelerate progress toward Vision for Everyone.

A global call to action

The Compact will be an important focal point and unifying document of the first Global Summit for Eye Health, taking place in Antigua and Barbuda in November 2026.  Governments and partners from across the world will attend the Summit to advance collective action that delivers better eye health services and outcomes.

Endorsing the Compact demonstrates your organisation’s support for a unified global effort. It is not legally binding and does not replace your Summit commitment, but it signals that your organisation stands alongside governments and partners worldwide in backing this shared agenda and accelerating collective action.

Join the 1 Billion Pledge via the simple online sign‑up mechanism below, so that together we can eliminate avoidable vision loss worldwide.
